How To Get The Streetsweeper Shotguns

The Streetsweeper is the latest version of a long-time series favorite: the Striker. Unlike previous versions, it is fully automatic, giving it the most impressive firing rate of all shotguns in Cold War (and one of the best in Warzone). With the right upgrades, its ammunition capacity can go unmatched within its category in both games. Its main downside is a slow reload speed, but magazine extensions can help minimize this drawback. Since shotguns are now secondary weapons, the Streetsweeper can be wielded alongside any primary weapon without any need for a special perk, ensuring that it will see plenty of use in short-range engagements.
This highly desirable automatic shotgun was originally announced as an in-season unlock for Cold War’s Season One. Owing to an apparent glitch, some players were able to obtain it prematurely back in December before the unlock challenge was removed. The Streetsweeper has since returned officially, allowing people to try their hand at its associated combat challenge once more.
Steps to unlock weapons
To unlock the Streetsweeper for both Warzone and Cold War, you would need to kill 3 enemies in a row without dying while wielding a shotgun in 15 separate matches. This goal can be met in either game, but bear in mind that you would need to use one of the Cold War shotguns (Hauer 77 or Gallo SA12) to advance towards the requirement in Warzone.
There is an added wrinkle in that, according to some reports, the above challenge is suffering from another glitch. While normally it should be enough to simply score the kills, it appears that the unlock progression may be lost if you do not finish the match after meeting the goal. You can make sure that you are making progress towards the weapon by checking it in the loadout tab of the main menu between games.
While the challenge is a difficult one, completing it will not only give you access to one of the best shotguns in the series but will also reward you with 1,000 XP, which can go a long way towards leveling your other weapons and your profile. You can try to kill two birds with one stone by using the opportunity to move towards unlocking cosmetics, such as reticles or Multiplayer camos.
Given the glitch, it might be best to pursue this goal in a faster-paced game mode, such as Warzone’s Plunder. A smaller map, like Rebirth Island or Nuketown ’84, may also help by giving you plenty of opportunities for close-range run-and-gun action. The Gallo SA12 may be your best bet for unlocking the weapon quickly, especially if you equip it with a Duckbill Choke to extend its effective range and use the 21’4 Reinforced Heavy barrel for the added rate of fire.
Alternative way
Alternately, there is already a way to get the Streetsweeper without completing a challenge. For 1,200 CoD points, you can buy the Shock Value bundle in either game’s store. It includes the Surge Protector Blueprint for the Streetsweeper. This Legendary loadout comes with five attachments already equipped: the small and simple Quickdot LED reflex sight, a hipfire-boosting Stead Aim Laser, a 14.6” Ranger barrel for increased ammo velocity, a SAS Combat Stock for improved mobility, and a Stanag MAG to enhance the shotgun’s already impressive capacity.
Whichever option you choose, the Streetsweeper can definitely be a fun and useful addition to your arsenal.
