How To Unlock Camo

Customization has always been an important part of the Call of Duty multiplayer. Firstly added in the original Modern Warfare back in 2007, weapon camouflages became the main method for players to “show off” their skill. Camouflage is not just a beautiful texture for your AK-47, but a visual representation of your abilities and unlocked achievements.

Right now there are 104 skins for each weapon (melee too) that are used both in MW and Warzone.  This hundred is divided into 10 categories of “basic” camouflages, each of the categories contains 10 camos that can be obtained by the gamer by doing a pack of different "killing" tasks.

Here is the full list of basic categories

• Woodland - in order to obtain this camo you ought to do a headshot for most of the guns, crouch kills for shotguns, attacker kills for launchers, and kills while being injured for melee weapons;
• Dragon - for most of the weapons kill in hipfire should be done. Exceptions are: "one-shots" for sniper rifles, “Dead Silence” kills for knifes and destroyed arial killstreaks for launchers;
• Topo - this skin can be obtained by making mounted kills. Still, special tasks exist: kills with 5 attachments on your shotgun, kills from long distance for sniper rifles, double kills and 2-kills in a row for pistols and knives, and destroyed equipment for launchers;
• Digital - beautiful pattern for people who like doing kills while crouching. Exceptions are: shotguns require hipfire, kills from behind for melee, kills in defend for launchers;
• Tiger - one of the “easiest” of camos to be unlocked. You need to do kills with 5 attachments on your weapon. Exceptions: double kills for shotguns, killing in smoke for melee, mounted kills for sniper rifles, and destroying support equipment for launchers;
• Splinter - skins for “snipers”. Longshot kills are necessary for most of the guns, headshots for shotguns, kills with 5 attachments for sniper rifles, crouching for knives, vehicles for launchers;
• Stripes - kills that are made right after reload are necessary. Exceptions exist: double kills for SMGs and sniper rifles, buzzkills for knives, destroyed killstreaks for launchers;
• Spray Paint - simple pattern that is unlocked by doing a number of any kills on any weapons;
• Skulls - 3 kills in a row should be done in order to unlock this pattern for a certain amount. An exception exists only for launchers: vehicles should be destroyed.
• Reptile - doing kills with no attachments on your guns. Finishing kills are necessary for melees and kills with “amped” perk on for launchers.

General steps

There is a specific list of rare patterns presented in this category. Now you will have to spend a huge amount of time farming countless amounts of kills in special conditions.

• Firstly, you need to unlock gold camos by completing a list of special tasks.
• After that,  to unlock platinum skin for your guns, you need to unlock gold camos for every gun in the same category you need.
• Damascus camos bring a similar idea: you have to get platinum skins for every gun available in the game. Every time you complete a full category, you get a Damascus set for it.
• The final “Obsidian” challenge is available for you only after unlocking all previously listed GOLDEN skins. There is a special set of challenges to be completed in order to obtain this skin for your guns and melees. Mainly you need to kill 15 players in a number of matches, this number depends on the category of weapon you are playing with. Still, there are some exceptions: to unlock an obsidian skin for your Riot Shield you need to do 750 kills with it, and 100 vehicles should be destroyed by launchers.
