EfT: Patch 0.13 And Wipe

The next global update 0.13 has not yet been fully officially released yet. While it was originally planned for 2020, now it was long delayed and there is some information on what to expect next. 

Of course, there will be fixes of bugs and other errors as well as some optimization, everything will be aimed at the improvement of game performance and the players’ in-game experience. Among the new updates the developers plan to improve the realism in several aspects: there will be delays during reloading and jamming introduced, charging and discharging processes will require a significant amount of time and the number of rounds at the store will no longer be displayed on the screen. The players will have to keep in mind all these aspects as well. All of these aspects will lead to even more hardcore that has always been the main feature of Escape from Tarkov. 

New map

There will also be a new map introduced. New Streets of Tarkov will become a new challenge to your reflexes and skills due to the combination of very narrow roads and open spaces of wide streets with the addition of various types of buildings. The players will have to think of new tactics that will have to combine what was needed for a successful passage of all previously introduced raids. The new map also means the possibility of the introduction of new Keys or even Keycards, so you will have to spend some additional time in search of those.

This patch will also give the players an opportunity to travel between maps in the duration of the ongoing raid, so some of the maps will become interconnected. There also will be a voice chat introduced, so you will have to spend some time on the adjustment to new raid mechanics.

New trader

A new trader will become a provider of various useful items. He will specialize in clothing and other equipment and will introduce new quests with rewards for reputation levels. Some basic character creation features will be added, so you will be able to feel a bit more comfortable playing your character. However, no changes on Hideout have been mentioned yet, even though some might have expected them as well.

Flea Market updates

A big number of various types of items will be added to the Flea Market, like various supplies and equipment that will increase your chances of survival during raids. The choice of weapons and mods for them will also become much wider. There is also a chance that the developers will add some new skills to balance all the updates that will increase the game difficulty.

Full wipe

Due to the fact that the patch will alter the game significantly, players must expect the full wipe. The game profiles will fully reset once again, so you will have to get back to the monotonous farming. While this fact can be very annoying for experienced players, it might be the only chance for some new players to adapt to the game and compete against players with much better gear.
