Like the majority of other games, Escape of Tarkov keeps true to the main rule: if some door or crate is locked, then it is definitely beneficial to unlock. The best possible loot in each raid is mainly located in some hidden areas that are not possible to access without a specific key. So each time before venturing into another raid you need to first check out which keys you already have if you do not take PvP as the foreground source of items. This way you may come out with a decent amount of gear even if the whole raid was far from the most exciting one.

Specifics of each Keycard
Before even thinking of any loot from this map and raid there you must first get a special access keycard into your possession. It is usable only once, so even if you are playing in a squad, each member of the team will need it. You have an opportunity to get 3 during one of Jaeger’s Quests (Fishing place), later on, you will get more options: Shoreline, The Lab, or Shturman’s stash. If you have spent some time on leveling up the reputation with traders, then you will have more options: at the 3rd level of reputation with Mechanic, the keycard equals 6 Poxeram Cold Welding, at the 4th - 2 Physical Bitcoins, at the 4th level with Therapist you can just buy it for roubles. If you often hunt for any bosses (not necessarily only the previously mentioned Shturman) you also get an opportunity to get the needed drop.
